Maintaining clean floors is essential for a healthy and pleasant home or office environment. Different floor types require different cleaning methods to avoid damage and keep them looking their best. Parquet and hardwood floors should always be vacuumed or dry-mopped first to remove dust and dirt. Use a lightly damp microfiber mop with lukewarm water and a wood-friendly cleaner such as green soap. Avoid soaking the floor, as excess water can cause the wood to swell or warp. Tile floors are more durable but still need proper care. Sweep or vacuum the floor to remove loose dirt, then wash with warm water and a neutral cleaning solution. For grout lines, create a paste with baking soda and water, scrub gently with a toothbrush, and rinse well. Laminate and vinyl floors should also be swept or vacuumed first, then mopped lightly with mild soap or a specific laminate cleaner. Harsh chemicals, wax, or abrasive cleaners can damage these floors over time. Consistent cleaning not only keeps floors looking good but also extends their lifespan.
