Grease quickly accumulates on kitchen surfaces, especially on fans, cabinet doors, and stove tops. A simple method is to use hot water and dish soap, or a mixture of baking soda and water as a scrub. Fan filters can be placed in hot water with dish soap for 30 minutes, then rinsed thoroughly. For ovens, a mixture of baking soda and a little water (made into a paste) is effective – spread it on, leave it to work overnight, and wipe off with a damp cloth. Regular removal of grease prevents odors and extends the life of kitchen equipment.
